Fundación UMC de México, IASP relies on community support, cross-border partnerships, and compassionate donors to fulfill its mission. Through collaborative efforts with medical professionals, fundraising events, and public outreach, we provide access to orthopedic care for underserved children in Ciudad Juárez and surrounding areas. Our efforts help improve health outcomes for children and their families by:

  • Philanthropy through a comprehensive portfolio of fundraisers, grant opportunities, and generous donations that directly support orthopedic evaluations, surgeries, and follow-up care for children in need.
  • Building and sustaining lifelong relationships with medical partners, donors, and advocates across Mexico and the United States.
  • Improving the patient and family experience by addressing financial barriers and ensuring compassionate, specialized care for children with orthopedic conditions.

The Foundation’s core strengths and impact areas include:

  • Policy of Accountability & Fiduciary Responsibility – Fundación UMC de México maintains transparency and accountability to all donors and supporters. Our stewardship of donated funds follows responsible management practices to ensure resources are used effectively for patient care.
  • Medical Collaboration & Capacity Building – We partner with skilled pediatric orthopedic surgeons from both sides of the border to evaluate and treat complex cases, increasing access to specialized care for families who otherwise could not afford it.
  • Community & Donor Involvement – We engage local businesses, families, and civic organizations in fundraising events and awareness campaigns to strengthen our mission and support long-term impact.
  • Fundraising Events & Philanthropy – Throughout the year, Fundación UMC de México hosts events in both Ciudad Juárez and El Paso to raise critical funds, connect with the community, and share the stories of children whose lives have been transformed through surgery.

GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT

Fundación UMC de México is overseen by a volunteer board of directors committed to strategic planning, advocacy, and fundraising. The board promotes transparency, civic engagement, and growth while maintaining a clear vision for advancing access to care for children with orthopedic needs. Board members serve on subcommittees to ensure responsible operations and sustained impact.

PHILANTHROPY

Whether through one-time gifts, monthly donations, corporate sponsorships, or fundraising campaigns, every contribution helps us provide life-changing surgeries. All donations are tax-deductible in both Mexico and the United States and directly benefit children in need of orthopedic care.

GRANT RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

Fundación UMC de México actively seeks out and applies for grants to support medical care, surgical procedures, and patient assistance programs. Our grant development team works closely with medical partners to build proposals, manage budgets, and track outcomes that align with our mission to expand access to care.
